Trip - Beginner Inshore Fishing Charter in Mount Pleasant for Redfish, Trout, and Flounder on August 18, 2025

This was a great trip. We started early and timed the morning bite well. He got us on fish immediately. Cat fishing was awesome. He is knowledgeable and friendly. Would recommend this trip to novice and experienced anglers.

Captain Joe really knows his stuff. We had an awesome trip and caught 45–50 catfish before lunchtime. I highly recommend him—if you’re looking to catch fish and have a great time, he’s your guy. I’m already planning my next trip with him!

Our family of four had a blast fishing with Captain Joe! Getting the teenagers up early was totally worth it—we landed a 20lb catfish before 7 AM and several more in the 10–12lb range, most of them before 10. Captain Joe kept things fun and exciting the whole time. Whether you're a seasoned angler or a first-timer, we highly recommend his charter!

Took my three teenage kids out with Captain Joe, and we had an awesome trip. We hit our limit on striped bass, and each of the kids reeled in a 20–25 lb catfish. Captain Joe was fantastic with them—patient, encouraging, and made sure everyone got in on the action. We ended up with 21 fish total and some serious fish fries in our future. He even recommended a great place to get them cleaned, and they were ready in just a couple of hours. Huge thanks to Captain Joe for a fun and memorable experience!

Captain Joe was absolutely fantastic! He ventured out early to secure bait for our trip, and as a result, we ended up catching over 20 fish, including a magnificent bull red drum. While other charter boats were still busy catching bait, we were already having an incredible day! Captain Joe also did an excellent job with our kids.

Captain Joe was truly exceptional. We had excellent communication with him before our trip, and on the morning of the excursion, he even called to assess the wind conditions to ensure our comfort. To top it off, when we arrived at the boat, Captain Joe had already secured the bait. As soon as we reached his chosen fishing spot, we had fish biting within minutes, while we noticed other charter boats were still in search of bait. In the end, we managed to catch around 30 to 40 fish, and we were able to keep nine for a delicious meal. I wholeheartedly recommend Captain Joe, and I'm looking forward to booking another trip with him in the future.

Joe was an outstanding fishing charter captain. Among my dad, brother, and me, we managed to hook a total of 30 fish, of which we kept 11 for cut bait and a delicious meal. Our haul included trout, pinfish, red drum, and bluefish. Whether you're a novice or an experienced angler, this charter is a great choice because Joe is always ready to assist, whether it's your first time fishing or you're looking to improve your skills. Even my dad, who had never caught a fish before, ended up with the biggest catch of the day. When Joe advises you to be there at 6 am, it's definitely worth the early wake-up call – you'll reel in more fish that way.

Our day on the water with Captain J was truly amazing. Captain J kept in constant contact with me throughout the week, devising a plan after the recent hurricane. He skillfully guided us to the fish, and we had a fantastic day of fishing, reeling in approximately 40 fish, mainly striped bass with a few catfish in the mix.
